Team work on a custom flight computer, sensor acquisition, and ground-station telemetry for a TEKNOFEST 2024 medium-altitude rocket.

Two flight computers

The team's critical design report describes independent commercial and custom flight computers. The custom unit was built around pressure, motion, temperature/humidity, and GPS readings, with an RF link to the ground station.

Hardware and integration

The flight computer brought together BMP280, MPU6050, DHT22, GPS, and E32-series RF modules. Sensor acquisition, state processing, and ground-station telemetry were completed as one avionics workflow.

Verification and outcome

Algorithm responses to pressure and orientation changes, the sensor-acquisition chain, and the RF telemetry link were verified. The system was completed for the TEKNOFEST 2024 medium-altitude rocket project.
